Elyette Goes to School

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. -- Proverbs 22:6

Does that apply to Kindergarten? :)

No really though I'm thinking NOW is when my real training begins (both as the trainer and trainee). Now with the added influence of the outside world. An element that is almost none existent for a SAHM and little ones. Wish me luck... better yet, pray!
Elyette of course was just EXTREMELY excited to start Kindergarten yesterday, despite Boz and I trying to convince her to stay little and stop growing up. She won't even agree to slow down... agh. We're of course pumped for her too!
(you like how it's bigger than she is :))

I didn't anticipate Jack's response, though I'm not sure how I could have prepared him further anyway. After dropping Elyette off, he was VERY sad to learn he didn't get to stay too. "I wanned to stay at the school. I go to Kindergarten too, mom!" It was a hard blow for him. He got on otter-pop when we got home to soften the blow.He still missed her.I forget she's a major part of him. This his first time being this separated from her.

They were right back to fighting constantly when she got home though. :)
I held it together until I sat chatting with Jack while he ate his otter-pop and started tearing up. I just kept busy after that... writing this blog certainly isn't helping though :).

All in all an great exciting day! One of the most bittersweet of my life.
Congrats my big girl.

Her first day of school outfit is so cute. And poor little Jack, his best friend leaves everyday. Nice quick-thinking with the Otter pop :)
