Goodbye Gymnastics

Monday was Elyette's last day of gymnastics. It was a fun weekly class for kids 2 and a half to 3 and a half that was actually a pretty good price- in the Bay area! Impossible, I know :). We loved it! Elyette was good at following directions and I was so pleased with her willingness to try new things, despite her perfectionism. Speaking of perfectionism, it was pretty funny how she'd get really mad at all of us when we cheered even if she fell. She'd just yell "no, I fell" thus it wasn't perfect and she didn't want praise :). And while watching Olympic gymnastics she'd start getting discouraged and say "can't do gymnastics". Hmmm, takes after her mother :)...

We'll also miss Elyette's coach, Roni. He was great. He worked well with her perfectionism and became a quick friend of mine (we were raised similarly and shared Boz and my feelings on family and this area. He also knew some of Boz's old gymnastic coaches at Diablo). He also let Jack participate and even helped him at times. Heaven for Jack (especially the trampoline). We'll all miss gymnastics!

McKenzie and I love coach Roni too. He was super nice and fun to talk to. Elyette looks cute in the pics. I bet she will be a great gymnast actually. She is little and graceful.

Hey Maegan! My bro-in-law (Bill, in your ward, I think?) reminded us of you out in California and since then I occasionally stalk your blog. it is so cute and fun- I love your fantastic sewing projects and I can't believe how much Eylette has grown from that sweet little Curious George of yesteryear. Hope all is well.
