Ok, so we're having a baby today! I'm 39 weeks 2 days. Two weeks ago I was 4cm dilated. Last week (Thursday) I was 5cm. Of course no one at my OB's thought they'd be seeing me this week, but I'm pretty much convinced that my so far "FAST" labor are actually just REALLY slow. Weeks full of small, erratic contractions.
Anyway, went in this morning and I'm 6 cm dilated. K, now seriously, at one point would my body finally kick into active labor??? Though I was hoping to finally just go into labor unassisted for once, its probably much wiser to give that up in favor of NOT having a baby in a store or car or anywhere thats not preferable to birth a baby. Thus, I'm consenting to the... well demand, of my Dr. to be admitted in just a few minutes here for him to break my water. Thankfully pitocin will not be necessary anyway, so I guess its not an induction, but anyway, WE'RE HAVING A BABY! And I'm anxious, relieved, excited, nervous, and SO ready to meet this baby... assisted labor or otherwise.

I'm just glad Elyette will not be delivering your baby. :) So excited for you guys! Let us know if we can do anything to help you out. With the kids, the house, food, whatever.
