This dress-up set is made up of different coordinating pieces for lots of costume variety and with adjustable sizing (velcro, ties, smocked backs, etc.) for years of use. So here's a sampling of possible costume combinations. Any thing you see that isn't plastic was made by yours truly.
Oh and you should also know that Elyette posed herself 90% of the time :)...
Victorian Sweetie I made the base of this hat from craft foam so it may not last long, but it was a fun experiment (makes me really want to try out a hat making class)

You went all out these are amazing! So did you do different dresses, or pieces for mix and match? and are those fabrics for the dresses that sheery stuff that freys really easy? that stuff scares me. haha and I am not surprised about jack with that sword having witnessed it myself :)
See what happens when an amazing seemstress gets in a bigger living space!! Magic Happens
Love it!
Umm... you can take a hiatus from the camera yourself but when the babe comes please don't be too timid to plaster your blog!
We are doing great!! You are due in March right? We'd love to come out in August. Let the babies play!!
WOW!!!!!! You are amazing! I really am so impressed! We miss you guys already! I wish we lived closer so that we could get together more! Love you!
constantly amazed... bravo to the christmas elf responsible for these.
Ohh man - your kids are the luckiest kids in the world to get a mom who can make such cool make believe outfits. My kids take towels and headbands and invent things because I am neither motivated or skilled enough to make something for them. Do you make them for hire? Could I commission you?
Holy freaking cow Maegan those costumes are AMAZING! And here I was, about to leave you a "tip" for when you recover your rocking chair. HAH! I'm not kidding when I say that you could totally open an Etsy shop and sell those beauties - you know, when you're not busy raising three kids ;)
Well here's my measly little tip. I found that the back cushion was a little baggy - the original had seams sewn in it probably to keep the fabric close to the foam - and my machine DEFINITELY couldn't handle that. So I got those little "make your own buttons" set and covered 4 to sew onto the back cushion and it tightened things up perfectly! And it looked cute :)
